What a wonderful Vegan restaurant. If you miss Chinese food because you’ve given up eating animals then this is your place. Even if you still eat animals and love Chinese food, then this is your place also. Really great prices for delicious, flavourful vegan food. We loved all of the dishes except the Deep fried Taro Roll which did not have much flavour. Everything else was perfect. As most Asian restaurants are, the food came out ridiculously fast. The place looks small from the outside but they actually own the house next door, so there is much more seating. We look forward to coming back and trying more items.

wow. wow wow wow wow wow. incredible food for insanely affordable prices. their duck bean curd is incredible. the service is impeccable. the speed that the food comes out is diabolical. the amount of time that it took from ordering to getting food on our table was faster than running around the block once. how do they do it?!?!? the portions are plentiful and there’s a reason why they are constantly fulfilling takeout orders. they’re just that good

I came here last night for dinner, and it was delicious. For three people, we ordered two appetizers, one soup, three mains, plus the tea that comes with the meal, and the bill came to about 70 total. Great value for the amount of food! The vegan beef and fried rice were my favorites—so good. We also tried the vegan rib, which wasn’t quite what I expected, so it wasn’t my top pick, but everything else was super tasty, and I’d definitely come again. This spot is a hole-in-the-wall Chinese taverna-style restaurant with writing all over the walls from past customers, giving it a very casual, laid-back vibe. Honestly, I think the atmosphere matches the price point perfectly. My husband had been before and wanted to make sure to bring me and a friend while we were visiting Toronto, and I’m glad he did—the food was amazing. Additionally, there is more seating than what you see in the front room. You just walk through the kitchen to get there which was also very fun.

Stopped for late lunch today while our family is visiting Toronto from Nanaimo. My daughter and I are vegetarian and rarely get to eat at veggie only places. We ordered the ginger beef, chicken balls, and a steak noodle dish. All were very good with generous portions. We also had the bean curd and crispy chicken for appetizers. My favourite item was the bean curd, it was simply fried, simple and delicious. The owner/server was very nice and helpful.

I've been a customer of Buddha for years via takeout, and it never fails! But this Friday, I was walking by and decided to dine in solo for the first time. The service was above and beyond; they greet you and give you a complimentary teapot, which is very welcoming. I had the ginger veggie beef and mixed vegetables fried rice. The portion was big with great quality. So delicious! Very fair prices. One of the best vegan restaurants in the city! It's been here since 1991, and I'm so glad it's still standing. I will always come back. Thank you! :)

Stopped in during a visit to Toronto and what a lovely old school restaurant with amazing owner and staff. We got greeted with a smile and served joyfully. For starters we had dumplings and spring rolls with pineapple sauce which were very tasty. For mains we started with veggie beef black bean sauce noodles for this dish only compliant is I would change up the veggies unsure if I can but I’ll ask next time I go. We ended the meal with lemon veggie chicken so good. Also can’t beat the prices.

This place feels like stepping into my friends' family home. The staff are super kind, and the food is served so fast, it's almost unbelievable. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The food is flavorful and filling, and the portions are huge! I hope they never close!
